From the North-West corner of the moat which surrounds the old city follow the Huay Kaew Road. After 4 kilometers you pass the zoo and soon the road will start winding its way up the mountain. Follow this road for another 9 kilometers to reach the Doi Suthep temple. From the temple area you have a beautiful view of the city. This temple is a "must see" for every visitor to Chiang Mai.

Don't leave Chiang Mai without paying a visit to the Doi Suthep temple. But make sure you go on a day when the sky is clear, otherwise you will miss the view over the city and the valley with the Mae Ping river.
