The old city of Chiang Mai is a 1.6 x 1.6 kilometer square surrounded by a moat. The Tribal Museum is located north of the old city. From the moat follow the Changphuak road to the north (road to Mae Rim). Cross the superhighway and continue north (Road 107) for about 1.1 kilometer, then turn left.
